Since 2015, Stephanie Franco has served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. A first-chair prosecutor with over 30 jury trials to her credit — including cases involving murder, sexual assault of a child, and other serious felonies — she has worked across multiple divisions, including criminal trial, family violence, juvenile, and violent crimes intake. Jurors and supervisors have recognized Stephanie’s strong advocacy and trial skills as she trains and mentors other prosecutors in case preparation and courtroom performance.
Stephanie earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2014 and before joining the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, she served as Staff Attorney with the Travis County Juvenile Public Defender’s Office. Through this job, as well as internships and clinics throughout law school, Stephanie gained extensive legal experience through work in children’s rights, juvenile justice, employment law, immigration, and worker rights.
Stephanie earned her B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish as well as her M.A. in English Literature from Texas Tech University.
